Thinking of travelling to WDW with friends (2 families each w/ one 6 yo child, 5 ppl total). I'm Disney-experienced, their first visit. Suggest hotel? Other advice?

    Hi, Ann!

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel! So glad you've returned with a question!

We LOVE to travel to Walt Disney World with family, and there are so many options for accommodations depending on your taste, budget and interest.

My favorite way to stay in the magic when there are two families is a 2-bedroom at any Disney Deluxe Villa. This provides two distinct, private sleeping areas, with a spacious living area between the two. A full kitchen and in-room washer/dryer help make this stay more like home.

If you'd like to stay in one room, another great space for up to 6 is a Family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. This Value Resort is themed beautifully, and offers some options you cannot find anywhere else.

My favorite Moderate Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, is a beautiful location; request rooms near or adjacent to each other, and you'll soon fall in love with this resort as well.

Because you are an experienced Disney traveler, I suggest that you coach your friends through their use of My Disney Experience, downloading the My Disney Experience app as well as their arranging of FastPass+ plans.

A first trip to WDW can be overwhelming, Ann. Let us help you help your friends craft the perfect stay. Send as many questions as you'd like. We love to help!
