We are thinking of taking our 2.5 year old and 6 month old to Disney World. How does it work for rides the baby can't go on? Does one of us take our toddler and the other one doesn't get to ride that ride?

Hi, Shani! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. What a magical vacation you are planning! There is nothing like seeing pure joy on a little one's face when they meet their favorite Disney friends for the first time! I remember taking our younger daughter for her first trip when she was 16-months-old. She literally dove into Minnie Mouse's arms every time she saw her. Her clutching Minnie and whispering "love you" to her over and over again still makes me tear up. Get those tissues ready because I bet you will have so many of the same magical moments!

The majority of attractions at Walt Disney World Resort do not have a height requirement, so guests of all ages are welcome to experience those, even your little one! However, there are some that do have height requirements, but I have a plan for you! A wonderful thing we discovered during our first trip was Disney's solution to your conundrum - Rider Switch Service. Guests with little ones that do not meet the height requirement for an attraction are welcome to utilize this service so everyone gets a chance to have fun. All you have to do is bring your entire party, including the children, to the entrance of the attraction and let the Cast Member know you need to use Rider Switch. One of the adults will enter the regular queue for the attraction, with the two-year-old toddler if she is tall enough to ride, while the second adult waits. When the first riders exit, the second adult may use the Rider Switch ticket to enter the FastPass+ queue to experience the attraction. The best part of this - the second adult gets to bring along another guest, so your older child gets a chance to ride again!

I hope this information helps you plan a magical day with your family! Let us know if we can answer more of your questions as you continue to plan!
