We are thinking of taking a large family (about 20 people) to Disney World in May for a couple of birthdays. Are there any discounts for such a large number of people and is the a less expensive time of the month?

    Rachel:

Currently, there are no discounts for large parties like yours.  Believe me, I've looked at all the angles since I've just finished planning a Grand Gathering for 25 for Spring Break!

Although Disney hasn't released their rates for 2011 that I'm aware of, typically May has "regular" rates. These rates are not as good as Value Season (like what you'd find in January/February, mid-August/September and mid-November/early December) but certainly better than Easter or Peak rates in March and April.

Your best offer for May might be the Free Dining Offer when you check in May 27 - 31. The offer ends December 20, so you'll need to book quickly!

Wishing you a magical vacation and memorable birthdays!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
