Thinking about taking day off from parks in the middle. What would you recommend as non-park related activities? Have a 9 year old son.Already planning Waterpark and Disney Quest. How can we take a day off and still take advantage of what is around us?

Greetings, Angela! I highly recommend taking a day off from park touring in the middle of your Walt Disney World Vacation. With my family of six, I have found firsthand that spending three consecutive days in the parks can be quite taxing on young children. On our non-park days, I like to let the children sleep in, book a Character Dining Experience or late breakfast at Whispering Canyon Café located in Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and then enjoy our Disney Resort. If you will be a guest staying at a Disney Resort, you will have great recreational activities right at your fingertips which often include pool side activities, bike rentals, watercraft rentals, and more.My family enjoys visiting Disney's Boardwalk in the early evening for a great dinner, watching the street performers, and riding around Crescent Lake on a surrey bike. We love watching IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from this location. You may also consider playing a round of miniature golf at either Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course or Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course.Depending on how much time you dedicate to Downtown Disney when visiting DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, you may want to explore some of the other entertainment options that are available in this fun, entertainment district. Follow the link I have provided to learn more. You may also consider booking the Wild Africa Trek for an unforgettable animal adventure! Follow the link provided to learn more about this privately guided expedition that is an experience unlike no other!  I hope I have given you several suggestions that will work for your vacation. Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions.Best wishes for a Magical trip, Angela!
