I am thinking of taking my daughter to the trail ride for something different for our vacation but I can't find any weight limits for adults for the horses. Is their an upper weight limit for adults? And what is this? Can I book it in advance?

    Hi Grace,

The trail rides at Fort Wilderness last about 45 minutes and are available for guests ages 9 and up, who are at least 48 inches tall. The maximum weight limit for the horses is 250 pounds. You can (and should) book reservations in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529).

I took my oldest daughter on a trail ride when she was 9 years old. We had a wonderful time enjoying the flora and fauna of Fort Wilderness. Guests are advised to wear long pants and will be required to wear a riding helmet, which is provided.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
