We are thinking about taking a cruise for our son's 11th birthday. If he turns 11 while aboard the ship, will he be allowed into the Edge once he turns 11?

    Ahoy, Larisa!

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question. I can't imagine a better way to celebrate a birthday than sailing the high seas with Captain Mickey!

I'm happy to hear you'll be taking advantage of the awesome Youth Clubs during your sailing. Disney Cruise Line offers top-notch youth programs that will keep your kids entertained and engaged with other kids in their age group. With games, crafts, and super-energetic  Youth Counselors, the Youth Clubs are THE place to be for young cruisers.

Since your son will turn eleven during your cruise, he will be more than welcome in Edge, the tween-exclusive space for ages 11-14. Simply speak to the Youth Counselors when you board the ship and let them know he'll be celebrating a birthday during your sailing. They will be more than happy to welcome him to the club! While in Edge, he'll have access to cool videogames, music, and all kinds of high-tech fun - perfect for the tween set.

Each day, you'll receive a daily schedule,  called a Personal Navigator, where you'll be able to see all the fun activities scheduled for Edge each day. We usually bring along colored highlighters so we can keep track of all the "can't miss" activities during our cruise!

I hope your son has a most magical birthday on your Disney Cruise! Please let us know if you have any more questions as you plan. We're happy to help! - Diane W.
