We are thinking of staying at a value resort which doesn't have a coffee maker, micorwave, fridge if you go to the moderate you get these features at roughly $500 more has anyone bought a cooler, coffee pot etc or what have you done - I'm torn. thanks

    Hi Karian,
Our family has wrestled with this question often too.

We tend to keep on choosing the value resorts, and we rent a small fridge (cost last time we rented was $10 per day).  You can request this when you book your reservation, but it is not guaranteed until you confirm at check in. We have gone the cooler route too (and ice is available for free in all resorts), but the fridge is really nice to have.

On the coffee maker...you can bring your own, or else go for the refillable drink mugs in the food court (under $15).  Not only can you refill these with coffee, but with pop or iced tea too.  You pay one price for these and you can refill them as many times as you want, for the duration of your stay.

Karian, I hope this helps. Have a fabulous vacation!
