Thinking of running in the Princess 1/2 & doing a cruise in Feb. 2014. If the race starts at 5:35am, could I make it to the Port Canaveral by 3:30 when it takes off? (Using the DCL transportation) Would this be feasible? Thank you and keep up the good

    Ahoy Joshua!
As a fellow runner and huge DCL fan, I think a Disney Cruise is a wonderful way to celebrate finishing a 1/2 marathon!  I ran the Princess Half a few years ago myself, and am thinking about it for 2014 too!
Since I've run a few RunDisney races, I can tell you that although the race starts around 5:30am, there is a possibility you will be in a later corral up to an hour after the start time. Other factors that weigh in to your departure morning schedule is your race pace and the bus service back to your resort after the half.  But with that being said, I do think you can make it to Port Canaveral in time, but I don't know if using Disney Cruise Line's transportation will be your best choice.  Pick-up times vary from resort to resort and you won't be able to find out pick-up details until the day before your cruise departure.  Times can begin around 10:00am and usually go until 12:00pm (luggage pick-up can be as early as 8:30am).  If you want to have more control over your departure from the Walt Disney World Resort, you can book your own transportation from a company like Happy Limo to take you to the cruise terminal. By doing this, you can set your own time and not be stressed on race morning about missing your motor coach ride.  One-way vouchers are available from Disney Cruise Line so you can choose that as your transportation after your cruise vacation back to the Orlando Airport.
I hope my answer is helpful, Joshua.  Please let me know if I can provide you with any further assistance with your cruise plans!  If you have any RunDisney questions, please be sure to visit my friend, Lori, the RunDisney Specialist!
    Have a magical day!
