    Erin from OH Asked

I was thinking of purchasing a gps equipped fit but for my kids ages 8,5 and 3yo as a security measure. I have heard Disney has something similar to be purchased at the park. Is this true? If not, any suggestions for added ease of mind my kids are safe.

Hello, Erin! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

When traveling to a popular destination like the Disneyland Resort with little ones, it’s easy to imagine that a child might wander off without you noticing. However, in my experience, keeping even a large group together while we toured the parks was a breeze. In terms of tracking locations electronically, I think you might be thinking of MagicBands which are used at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. While they don’t geographically locate Guests, they are RFID enabled to be your theme park ticket, hotel room key, and provide some magical touches on select attractions. The Disneyland Resort doesn’t use MagicBands or sell anything that will electronically locate Guests. So I suggest employing the following strategies to provide extra peace of mind:

-Use a stroller for your two youngest children. A sit and stand stroller might be a good fit for your children’s ages.
-When you arrive at the parks, show your kids the name tags that every Cast Member wears. Instruct your children to find a Cast Member wearing a name tag if they happen to get separated from the group. The Cast Member will then take the child to a Baby Care Center until they can be reunited with you.
-Establish some rules like no wandering off without an adult, always waiting for the whole group before entering and exiting attractions, and staying close together when navigating the parks during busy times of the day.

I hope this helps. Have a fantastic time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
