We are thinking of purchasing a 8 day base-ticket for the parks, but when we are there, maybe a few days into our trip, can we upgrade to a Hopper pass? How do we do this and what is the cost? Is it just added to the days remaining on the pass or for all?

Yes you can upgrade to the Park Hopper option on your Magic Your Way (MYW) ticket when you get to Walt Disney World as long as it is prior to the 14 day expiration date.

So, if on your second day of vacation your family decides the park hopping feature would be nice to have, you’ll pay the flat rate of $47.93 (April 2008 price) which includes tax. It’ll be added to your remaining days. If you are touring for 1 day, the park hopper add on isn’t very cost effective. But over an 8-day period that only comes to about $6 more per day. You’d get your money’s worth by adding it at the beginning not the end of your trip!

It’s easy to add the option by visiting Guest Services or the Lobby Concierge at your WDW resort. You can also visit any WDW theme park ticket booth or Guest Relations at any WDW theme park.
