Thinking of planning a trip for early October 2011, and would like to know about crowd levels at Epcot during Food & Wine Festival. Also would like to attend MNSSHP, with DD8, would she enjoy it, or is it more for adults? Thanks!

    Hi Sherisse,

Thanks for writing.  I'll answer the second part of your question first.  Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is PERFECT for young children.  It is a wonderful, whimsical way to celebrate Halloween.  The event includes trick-or-treating throughout the park, access to many favorite attractions (with limited crowds), a wonderful parade, "Mickey's Boo To You Parade" and Hall-o-Wishes, a special fireworks display just for Halloween.  The party is appropriate for guests of all ages, including eight-year-old girls.  I'm guessing your daughter would have a wonderful time!

Epcot's Food and Wine Festival is a spectacular event, and one of my family's favorite special events at the parks.  While Epcot can get crowded (especially during the weekends that the event takes place), in my experience the crowds at the other parks tend to be moderate.  I think you have picked a perfect time of year for your Disney vacation, as the weather in the fall is generally gorgeous, with warm, sunny afternoons and little rain.  Have a magical trip!
