Thinking about planning a cruise for September. First time cruising is it just like WDW where you can pay on it up until right before you go. And also do you have to go to the port or can you park at the resort and ride the bus to port. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

    Ahoy Larry!
It's always great to help out a fellow Georgian with cruise plans! If you love visiting Disney Parks than you are going to love the magic of Disney on the high seas! My crew enjoys visiting the parks, but we fell in love with Disney Cruise Line ten years ago and have made so many magical memories at sea with Captain Mickey since that very first sailing.
Planning a Disney Cruise can be overwhelming if you are accustomed to visiting the parks, but you have absolutely come to the right place with your questions! The Moms Panel along with the Disney Cruise Line website is full of helpful information and tips to make this process as smooth as possible. As for payment, you will make a 20 percent deposit of the total cruise fare at the time of booking. Since you are sailing out of a U.S. port, you will owe the remaining cruise balance either 75 or 90 days before your sail date. If your cruise is five days or less, your payment is due 75 days out. If you cruise between six and nine nights, you will pay 90 days out. The only other consideration is if you decide to sail Concierge-level. These suites require payment 90 days before for sailings five days or less and 105 days for sailings between six and nine days. Deposit amounts and payment time frames are always subject to change.
If you plan on enjoying a land and sea vacation, you can leave your car at your hotel, but there is a fee for transportation to and from the port from your Walt Disney World Resort. Currently, it is priced at $70 per person for a round trip voucher, but is always subject to change. Parking is available at the port for a daily fee. Current parking rates can be found at www.portcanaveral.com by clicking on directions and parking on the left hand side.
I hope I've steered you in the right direction, Larry! Please continue to visit the Moms Panel as you think of more cruise questions!
    Happy Planning!
