Hi, we are thinking of having a 'split stay' at two Disney resorts.. Would you recommend this? Our children will be 6 and 8. We would like to stay 1 week at Yacht Club and one week at a Magic Kingdom resort. How does this work for the DDP? Thank you.

    Hi Nicola!

Many of my friends have done the "spilt stay" at Walt Disney World so they can enjoy the different resorts that Disney has to offer. This can definitely be done. You will need to make two separate reservations, so your Disney Dining Plan (DDP), if you purchase one, will need to be purchased separately for the two different resort reservations. Of course this is the same  price as if you purchase one DDP across your stay.

You can still purchase any amount of days for your Magic Your Way Tickets, so you can save money by purchasing the amount of days you need across your vacation (ie; 10 day instead of two 5 day passes)

I see the value in doing this if you would like to experience two different resorts, however personally, with two young children, I think that I would be hesitant to do this because you will have to pack and unpack twice and get everyone settled twice.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
