Thinking of getting a tent spot at the campgrounds. Not sure if we'll stay but I want to have the option if my local housing busts. Will we get the xtra hours and free parking w/the space or will I need to also buy my WDW tix or can I get them separate?

Hi Dawn!  Even tent campers at Fort Wilderness are considered Walt Disney World resort guests. It is just your resort is a little more simple then some of the other accommodations but not necessarily any less comfortable!

You would receive a "room" key  which would allow you to be a part of the extra magic hours in the parks, use the free Disney transportation, make your dining reservations 90 days out, and also have packages sent back to Fort Wilderness when shopping.  You also will get a card for your car for free parking at all parks.

You do not have to buy the tickets at the same time of your reservation.  You can do that completely separate. Often the packages they offer include tickets as it is a savings but it is not necessary if that is not best for you.

Staying within Walt Disney World has many great benefits and some are listed above.  Fort Wilderness is a very special place on property and has many repeat guests coming back year after year.  To some they liken it to "their little secret"!
