    Becky from OH Asked

I am thinking of getting a disability pass on our next trip due to my deep vein thrombosis do I need to bring proof of my disability?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Becky!

Walt Disney World Resort strives to afford all visiting Guests an enjoyable, comfortable and inclusive visit with the variety of options and Services for Guests with Disabilities.

Becky, I’m sorry to hear of your condition and recommend you consult with a Cast Member inside any Theme Park Guest Relations regarding Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS). Please take anyone in your travel party with you, in the event the (DAS) is deemed appropriate - you do not have to have any proof, but I always opt to bring a doctor’s letter with me, in the event of any other medical issue that may arise. If deemed necessary, the Cast Member will then take a digital photograph of you and associate the (DAS) to your (and anyone in your travel party) valid Theme Park Admission Card and/or active MagicBand. Please remember, that, the (DAS) may be used in conjunction with Disney FastPass+ Planning which begins 30-days before your scheduled visit, or 60-days before your Disney Resort hotel check-in date.

Rest assured that we offer First Aid centers and Wheelchair Rentals in all Theme Parks, if you wish to utilize those options for more convenience and ease.

We hope this information is helpful, Becky and we hope to be of any further assistance with your Disney Vacation planning again soon!
