I am thinking about doing the Tinkerbell Marathon at Disneyland. How old does a child have to be to participate in the Fun 5K? My son is going to be 5. I wanted to do the fun run but I am not sure he is old enough.

    Hi Rachael!

The Family Fun 5K's are great races!   There are no age limits for the race, but the rules do state that all participants must be able to finish the race on their own.  Your 5 year-old should be fine, but I would definitely do a little "training" before then.  Make it a fun adventure!  My sons' and I like to go on run/walks together around our neighborhood.  I never pressure them about going fast, just make sure you guys can keep a 16 minute/mile overall pace.  (in other words, you should be able to do 3.1 miles in under 50 minutes)

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
