    Nicole from MI Asked

I am thinking about going to Disney by myself (because I love it so much!!), early next year. Does anybody have any suggestions or MUST do experiences that I generally wouldn't get to do if I was bringing my family with me?

    Hi Nicole,

I think it is a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious idea to travel to Walt Disney World by yourself. While I simply love coming with my husband and three children, there are definitely benefits to coming without the kids or even by myself, which I have done before, too. I would love to share my thoughts on things you might enjoy experiencing that you might not otherwise consider.

My first recommendation would be to try Senses - A Disney Spa at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Pamper yourself in this relaxing spa without having to worry about the kids. Take your time and just enjoy the "me" time. There are so many wonderful offerings including facials, massages, manicures and pedicures.

Being that you love Disney "so much", I highly recommend a behind the scenes tour. There are so many to choose from and many have an age minimum, so often those traveling with little ones do not have the opportunity to experience this. My personal favorite would be Disney's Keys to the Kingdom tour. You will learn so much that you might never have known about the rich Disney history and culture. Another amazing one is the Wild Africa Trek. Explore areas of Disney's Animal Kingdom that you would not normally have access to as a general guest.

My final suggestion would be to see Walt Disney World from a more unconventional view. Parasailing from Disney's Contemporary Resort is so much fun. It is operated by Sammy Duvall's Watersports Centre at the marina there. You will get some unforgettable views of Space Mountain, Cinderella Castle and more!

I hope you consider one or more of these wonderful experiences. Have fun!
