Walt Disney World Halloween

I was thinking about a costume for the Halloween party- are balloons allowed in the park as a costume accessory?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ashley! I love that you’re thinking ahead for your Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party costume! I’m always brainstorming costumes for parties, Dapper Day looks and Disneybounding outfits to wear to the parks.

You might want to review your costume ideas against this new animated short made to help guests creating costumes. It lays down a lot of rules but makes it easy to understand! While a bunch of balloons may make it difficult to traverse crowds, travel on Walt Disney World Resort Bus Transportation, and not blog views of fireworks, a single balloon may not pose the same issues. If you need a single balloon (or even two) I would actually recommend you give your costume a Disney Parks twist and purchase a Parks balloon (maybe the Mickey head ones!) to use as your accessory. Keep in mind there are attractions on which you’ll need to leave your balloon stationed elsewhere (like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!) so keep that in mind as you plan. You don’t want to miss out on the FastPass+ only attraction lines at the party!

If I can assist you with any more costumes ideas or help you with trip hacks, please let me know I’m hEAR for you! ~ Lindsey P.
