We are thinking of buying a back pack carrier to carry our one year around instead of a stroller. It is one of those Deuter/Kelty type back pack carriers. When going on rides where do people store or put the back packs? Do people even recommend it?

    Hello Rhonda!

Great question!!!  My wife and I tried the back pack carrier one year, and to be honest, it did not work really well.  With a back pack carrier, you have to take off the pack each time you ride a ride.  We also found it difficult to secure the head when our baby fell asleep.

What we found works really well is a front pack carrier.  In fact, my wife has two carriers.  For the baby age, she LOVES the front carrier.  When our babies get older, she LOVES the hip carrier.  The great advantages of the front/hip carriers are that you can still ride some of the attractions and see shows without taking the baby out of the carrier (MAJOR BONUS), and you can stabilize the head much easier when the baby is sleeping.

When you are not using your carrier, just store it on your stroller.  We have visited Disney World many times in the past ten years, and we have never had anything stolen. NOTE:  You will definitely want to bring a stroller with you for your vacation, preferably one that is small, lightweight and folds easily for carrying on the bus.

I hope this helps in your planning.  If you have other questions, please let me know.

    Have a MAGICAL day!
