We are thinking of bringing our son for his 3rd B-day. Any suggestions on length of stay? Im not sure if we are bringing him at too young of an age or not? We want to try and get in a character breakfast but wasn't sure what else to include at his age?

    Hi Katie,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations! I think that your son is at a great age for a trip to Walt Disney World. My daughter went to Walt Disney World as a toddler and preschooler, and we always had a great time! There is so much to do for children at this age.

For length of stay, especially for a little one, I tend to like a stay of at least five nights. This gives you time to settle in and really enjoy Walt Disney World. If you can stay a week, even better!

A character breakfast will be a fantastic way for your son to meet characters without waiting in line. A favorite for many is Chef Mickey's, where you get to meet Mickey Mouse and his friends in their chef outfits at Disney's Contemporary Resort. We also loved Disney Junior Play 'n Dine at Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios when our daughter was younger. At this fun breakfast, children get to play and dance with some of their favorite Disney Junior characters, including those such as Doc McStuffins and Jake of the Neverland Pirates. Please do note that all character appearances are subject to change.

There are many attractions that are great for this age child at Walt Disney World. I have always found that there are attractions at every Disney theme park appropriate for the youngest guests. There is a great website dedicated to planning your Walt Disney World trip with little ones - I suggest that you check it out for more tips.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Katie! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
