We are thinking of bringing our 10 month old to Disney, and are wondering if this is too young? As well, where would you recommend that we stay, given that we will need a suite/villa type room< with 1 or 2 bedrooms. Thank you!

Hi, Lindsay!  I like to tell people all the time that there isn't an age I think is too young for Walt Disney World, and while the memories you make may not be the baby's memories, you will have moments to cherish the rest of your life of baby's first trip to Walt Disney World!

There is some extra planning that goes into taking a baby, including making sure you have plenty of extras with you.  I always found I needed more diapers and more changes of clothing then I used at home; and as a pumping mom, I made sure to work extra hard leading up to vacation to have extra milk with me to keep the baby from becoming dehydrated in the Florida heat.  You'll find virtually everything you need at the Baby Care Centers in each theme park, but it helps to have your own stuff at the resorts.

There are so many options for a villa or suite accommodation - something for every personal preference!  The Boardwalk Villas or Beach Club Villas give you easy access to EPCOT via the International Gateway into the World Showcase area of EPCOT.  You also have some nightly entertainment on the Boardwalk, and if you plan on using a babysitter during your stay, you'll be right there to enjoy some of the nightlife, like Jelly Rolls.  The cabins at Fort Wilderness are fabulous rustic themed accommodations, with plenty to do at the campgrounds when you are not at the theme parks.

Check out www.disneyworld.com to see more of the villa accommodations that are available.  Anything at DVC with a one bedroom or more will have a full kitchen and washer and dryer, which is great to have, especially with young children!

    Have a great vacation!
