Hello! I think I read that there is a new program where you can bypass mousekeeping and in exchange receive a disney gift card? Is this true? What are the details? And, how do I initiate that? Thanks!!! Can't wait for our June visit!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Leslie!

Thank you for stopping by with your question! How exciting you have started to make plans for your trip!
Let me explain this exciting program to you a little bit. The Service Your Way Program, which allows you to decline housekeeping services in exchange for a gift card, is available at value and moderate resorts at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you choose to use the Service Your Way program, you will receive a Disney Gift Card based on the length of your stay. You will receive a $10-per-night credit, except for the last night. Your Service Your Way gift card will be sent to the email address associated to your reservation; if the email doesn't arrive within four hours (it usually takes second to hit your inbox) you can stop by the Front Desk at your resort hotel for assistance.

Those guests opting to benefit from this program can still call Guest Services or Housekeeping on their Resort room telephone to get trash removed, request toiletries and fresh towels whenever they need them. Please be aware that visual inspection will continue to be conducted even when opting out of Housekeeping Services.

Lelie, I have used this program in the past and everyone in my family really appreciated getting some extra gifts to bring home; it was very convenient!

I hope this has helped a bit. I hope you have the most wonderful vacation of all!

    See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
