Do you think that the opening of the Star Wars area will affect April crowds? I am seeing some sites saying April 8-12 will be low attended and others high attended.

Hello, Jenna. Thanks for coming by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It's hard to predict exactly what effect the May 31, 2019 opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will have on visitor levels next month. In the end, it may be a wash, which might explain why some outside sources think April will be low attended and some high. Depending on perspective and interests, some may expect that guests will delay their visits until after the new land is open so they can explore the Black Spire Outpost and rub elbows with some of the most notorious characters from a galaxy far, far away. Others may fear the Dark Side and wish to avoid joining the Rise of the Resistance. So they may opt to move their Disneyland Resort vacations sooner.

To me, any time is a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort. And I'm sure you'll be able to have a Fantasmic! Time. To help bring some extra pixie dust to your vacation, make sure to download the Disneyland app. You'll be able to use it to find characters, check attraction wait times, manage Disney PhotoPass, order food, and so much more!

    Have a magical time, Jenna!
