So I think I am going to buy the PhotoPass cd but what do they mean by limited release? Can I print the photos at my local photo lab (walgreens, Target, etc.) or do I have to print them through the disney site?

You are welcome to print copies of your PhotoPass CD photos anywhere you like. I always get mine printed through kodakgallery.com, but Target and Walgreens work just as well. You can use the pictures for your personal enjoyment - add them to your holiday cards, give them to family members, post them on your Facebook page or personal blog, etc.

The term "limited license" for the photos means that you are not supposed to use them for commercial purposes. Below is the exact language that I pulled off a Photo Pass CD I received in the mail about two weeks ago:

LIMITED LICENSE AND RESTRICTIONS: In consideration of the purchase price paid by the buyer (Buyer) of this Photo Image Compact Disc to Disney Photo Imaging LLC (Seller). Seller hearby grants Buyer a worldwide, perpetual, royalty free license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, distribute, and display the digital photo files contained on the CD (Photo Files) solely for personal, non-commercial use. Buyer agrees that he/she will not (and will not permit another person or entity to) sell, transfer, or use in any commercial manner (i.e. for the purpose of receiving or facilitating the receipt of financial remuneration or any other consideration) the CD, the Photo Files, and/or photographic prints created therefrom (Photographs). Buyer acknowledges and agrees that he/she receives no rights or ownership interest in any type in or with respect to any intellectual property owned by Seller and its affiliates, or any third party, displayed in or as part of any Photo File or Photograph and all such rights remain the property of their respective owners.

I'm not a lawyer, but my interpretation is that you can use the pictures however you want as long as you don't sell them. If you have further concerns, you should have your attorney view the above.
