What are things that we need to do when we first board the ship? We have never been before and I dont want to miss anything or forget anything. Thank you!

    Welcome Aboard, Hiley!

Planning your first cruise is a daunting task! I remember feeling like I didn't know ANYTHING when I was getting ready for our first cruise. But, never fear, we are here to help you!

Some of the things you should plan to do when you first arrive and get onboard are:
    1. Head to Guest Services to inquire about tickets for the Princess Party and/or special character meet & greets (Anna and Elsa)
    2. Get some lunch...Cabanas (up on the pool deck on Dream, Fantasy, & Magic) or Beach Blanket Buffet (Wonder) and Enchanted Garden (Disney Dream & Disney Fantasy) or Carioca's (Disney Magic) or Parrot Cay (Disney Wonder) are open buffets for lunch. I recommend avoiding the large crowds at the buffets on the pool deck, it gets pretty crazed up there.
    3. Take a walk, learn the layout of the ship, consider taking the walking tour that is offered (this will be listed on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App as well as on the paper Daily Navigator that you will be given at check-in in the cruise terminal).
    4. RELAX and enjoy your cruise

Some other things I wish I had known for our first cruise include:
    1. The doors are magnetic and ALL look the same. With over 1,000 doors that are all white, it is nice to have something to identify your door.
    2. Room service is complimentary (just remember to tip your server). I had no idea I could order a Mickey Premium Ice Cream bar at midnight until our third cruise!
    3. Listen to your server's advice...they are onboard for months at a time and know the "ins and outs" of the ship. If they tell you to go to Deck 12 starboard to watch the fireworks, just do it!
    4. You will never be able to do everything, and it is ok. Do not run yourselves ragged, trying to do it all.
    5. Book a future cruise onboard.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
