Hi there, Our flight arrives at 9:30 putting us at Disneyland Hotel around 10:30-11. Other than eating lunch at the hotel are there any other activities recommended to do with my 4 year old to burn time until check-in; other than going into park?

    Hi, Lissette!

I am so excited to hear you are staying at the Disneyland Hotel. This resort is one of my family's favorites with the fun dining options, super pool, and proximity to the Downtown Disney District.

There is so much to do, you will not be short on activities! To start with, although your room might not be ready, you can still enjoy the awesome E-Ticket pool, D-Ticket pool, and super fun Monorail Waterslides. Have a tote bag packed with your swim suits and sunscreen so you can enjoy a few hours splashing around the pool area.

If you prefer to stay dry, head to the Downtown Disney District. Here you can shop, see a movie, or enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants. My kids always enjoy eating at the Rainforest Café and getting the Sparkling Volcano for dessert! You can spend several hours in the Downtown Disney District with all there is to do.

Within walking distance you can also reach Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. The lobby at this hotel is incredible, and definitely worth the walk to check it out.

Hopefully your room will be ready quickly, but either way, you can get the magical party started as soon as you arrive at the Happiest Place on Earth. Enjoy!
