    Angee from ON Asked

Hi there I'm hoping someone can help me out. We are visting Disney from Jan 28-Feb 4/12 and I just booked Askershus for dinner on Feb 2. While booking it stated that Askerhus wasn't available on the 2012 DDP plan? If so suggestions for dinner at Epcot?

Hi Angee! Dining with the princesses at Akershus is such a magical experience!

Each year, when we transition from one Dining Plan to another, it takes the Walt Disney World website a little bit of time to update information on the participating restaurants. On the brochure for the 2012 Disney Dining Plan, Akershus is listed as a participating restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The brochure tends to be a reliable source of information regarding the Disney Dining Plan, and as more restaurants elect to participate in the plan, you'll see them added to this brochure later this year. The pop-up boxes on each restaurant's webpage on the Disney website are slower to be updated, and we saw this same problem with these pop-up boxes last year when many restaurants were initially designated as participating in the Deluxe plan but not the regular one. Last year those pop-up boxes were eventually corrected to show those restaurants as participants in the regular Dining Plan as well as the Deluxe one, and I expect that will happen again in the next few months. For now however, since Akershus is listed on the 2012 Dining Plan brochure, you can safely assume that you'll be able to use your regular Dining Plan table-service credits to pay for your meal there.
