Hi there, I will be visiting the park next month and will be taking my personal electric wheelchair. Do some rides contain wheelchair accessible rides?

Hello there, Aurora! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for reaching out and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Walt Disney World Resort does an excellent job providing accommodations and services for their Guests with disabilities! As someone that also utilizes a wheelchair when visiting the parks, I have always been delightfully surprised by my own experiences while visiting Walt Disney World Resort. I am so pleased with the knowledge Cast Members possess regarding their Guests with disabilities! There have been multiple times that Cast Members have asked me how they could enhance my attraction experiences and offered solutions for potential problems I may have experienced. This is definitively one of the main reasons I return to Walt Disney World Resort year after year!

There are actually four different types of accessible attractions at Walt Disney World Resort. These include attractions that require Guests to transfer from their ECV or wheelchair to the ride vehicle, attractions that require Guests to transfer from their ECV into a wheelchair, attractions that require Guests to transfer from their ECV into a wheelchair, and from a wheelchair into the ride vehicle, and attractions in which Guests can remain in their ECV or wheelchair. There is a full list of the rides in each of these categories located here on the Walt Disney World Resort webpage. You will also find a bit more information regarding accessibility for Guests with mobility disabilities on this page as well!

I hope you have an absolutely splendid vacation and be sure to let us know if we can help you with anything else!
