Hi there.I have been trying to book the campsites for a couple years and have been unable to.are they open at Christmas or do we have to book years ahead? Thanks. Sam

    Hello Samuel!

Christmastime is truly magical at the Walt Disney World Resort. I can certainly understand why you would want to enjoy Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort during this time. This 750-acre wooded area contains over 800 campsites as well as fully equipped cabins and is open 365 days of the year. Even though this seems like plenty, the spaces are often full, especially during the Holidays.  Many folks begin by making a "room only" reservation for a campsite as these can be made up to 499 days in advance. So, while you can't book years ahead, if you would like to stay at The Fort during Christmas week, I would mark your calendar 499 days before your desired date and call Disney Hotel Reservations as soon as the reservation window opens.

Even if you are not able to score a campsite this upcoming season, I recommend heading over to Disney's Fort Wilderness to enjoy the fantastic decorations that many of the campers display. It is a sight to behold!

    See ya real soon,
