Mom and daughter on Dumbo

Hi there, I have 4 magic bands that were used in 2015. 2 were for me and my daughter and 2 were for my parents. Since my parents are not going on this trip, can I re-assign the two that were for my parents to my husband and son?

Welcome back, Krista, to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Currently, MagicBands are not allowed to be transferred to another guest once they have been linked to a guest. I had the cutest Minnie Mouse MagicBand a few years back that I wanted to gift to my daughter but was sadly told that she would not be able to use it. The magical technology within the MagicBands won't allow guest data to be transferred from band to band.
If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort, each of you will receive a new, complimentary MagicBand for your stay. If you are staying in the Orlando area, your husband and son will receive an Admission Card that can be used just like the MagicBand. Once you arrive at Walt Disney World, all of the resorts and theme parks offer MagicBands for you to purchase. You can then link those new MagicBands to your My Disney Experience account. Also, the shopDisney website and mobile app have so many cool character MagicBands that you can have mailed to your home. Once they arrive, just link your MagicBand to their My Disney Experience account by entering the unique code on the back of the MagicBand and you're all set!

Have a magical time, Krista! If more questions come up, please stop by and visit with us again soon!
