Hi moms and thanks for this site!We are taking DS (age 5) on first disney trip in october. He has CP and can't walk / usually in a wheelchair. How will they check his height for rides? Any advice appreciated. Best wishes.

    Hi there Gillian,

How wonderful that your son will be taking his first Walt Disney World trip this October! I hope you are planing to go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! It's so much fun!

The ride restrictions for height can be found on the Disney Website in the specific rides section and are listed at the entrance to the rides. With him being in a wheelchair and at his age, I'm thinking he may want to stay on the less strenuous rides. Most of the rides at Walt Disney World will be accessible to him and some even allow for him to ride IN his wheelchair! Make sure to go by Guest services to pick up a Dissability Park guide which should make your getting around the parks easier.

Thank you so much for asking the Moms Panel! I hope you have a magical day!
