Thanks for your response. What itinerary would you recommend for first timers that have 3 days to spend at the parks? Thank you

    Theresa:

Since you didn't mention in your previous question when in May you'd be visiting, I'll share some general guidelines that may help you in creating your itinerary.

    • With such a broad range of children's ages from 3 up to 10, I think you can easily count on a day at Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Your third day needs to be a decision based on whether your children REALLY like animals (hence, leaning toward Animal Kingdom) or whether you have children who enjoy exploring (there's a lot to love at Innoventions at Epcot).  Whatever you choose, you won't be wrong.
    • I recommend visiting the smaller parks (Magic Kingdom/Hollywood Studios) on weekdays like Tuesday through Thursday and the larger parks (Epcot/Animal Kingdom) on the weekends and days on either end (Friday - Monday).
    • Disney Dad Doug suggests leaving the Magic Kingdom to the last day to build up to it.  I prefer to visit it on my first evening to capture the magic of the park all lit up with a second visit later in the week to ride the attractions.

The most important itinerary decision you can make with such a large group is to try and make your dining reservations at restaurant in the parks where you'll be each day or in resorts near those parks.  It will make for easier logistics.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
