Thanks - MK and HD (12/29 and 1/1). Wanting to make reservations, but not sure which park would be better on which day? Kids 20 months - age 13. Also, suggestions for dining? eat between 3-5pm and not sure if we should leave parks due to crowds?

Because the park hours are pretty much the same on both dates (Magic Kingdom open until 11:00 p.m. and Hollywood Studios open until 10:00 p.m) which park you visit which day is going to depend on where you can get dining reservations.    At this late date, you are going to have very flexible with your dining locations and times.   I would call (407)WDW-DINE or go online to see what dining options are available.  Once you get some reservations, that will help you decide in which order to visit the parks.

If you find that you simply cannot get into a sit-down restaurant, I would suggest doing counter service vs. leaving the park.   Leaving the park to eat is a good idea only if you plan to go back to your resort for an afternoon rest (and with a 20 month old, a break might be a good idea for your family!)  Otherwise, leaving to eat really burns up a lot of time.   You will find several counter service locations in both parks that have nice selections.  If possible, try to eat an early dinner to avoid standing in line.

Do a little research on your dining options and go from there!   Hope this all works out for you - Good Luck!
