thanks for all the information you guys ROCK!!! here my ?? spending the day 8/16 in MK have DInner plans @ Chef Mickey's for dinner 5 ish... which is the quickest mode of transportation. and what time should we leave park to make dinner on time.

    Thanks! You rock too...

because you've selected a very convenient location for your dinner on the day that you'll be touring the Magic Kingdom!!

You'll have two easy modes of transportation to choose from:

    1. Exit the Magic Kingdom and board the Resort Monorail. The Contemporary Hotel is the first stop. You'll exit the monorail and proceed down to the fourth floor concourse where Chef Mickey's is located.

    2. Exit the Magic Kingdom and veer to your left. Take a short stroll over to the Contemporary Resort.

Which recommended transport (feet or monorail) is the quickest would depend on how tiresome your footsies are after touring all day and whether a monorail is waiting at the station.

Either way, I would have your family exiting the front turnstiles at the Magic Kingdom about 20-30 minutes prior to your Advance Dining Reservation. We've dined many times at Chef Mickey's around 5:00 p.m. and you'll be among the first diners seated for the evening meal!
