Hi & thanks for all the info provided. We will be visiting WDW over Halloween week with our 4 yr old son & wanted to know the differences between Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Disney Wilderness Lodge. Which one would you recommend?

    This is a tough choice!

My son loves both of his lodges and found them to be great adventures at the age of 4.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is close to the Animal Kingdom if you will be spending a lot of time at that park. The Wilderness Lodge is closer to the Magic Kingdom.

Both resorts offer deluxe amenities. The pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge is nicer (in my opinion) due to the zero entry depth. This is really nice for young children that like to wade.

The Wilderness Lodge offers a western-theme for any boy dreaming of the frontier. If your son enjoys animals, there is nothing like having breakfast while staring at a giraffe.

Either choice should offer a delightful vacation for your son.
