Thanks for your help w/dining. For low crowds & low rates, wld 11/19-25 or 12/3-9 be recommended? Of course if the parade is filmed 1st Sat of Dec again, that cod be pretty bad I'd imagine. Want my wife to be able to see holiday decorations, but not cr

Hi, Ron!  I always love December at Walt Disney World!  The holidays are in full swing, you can enjoy things like the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT, and you will be able to do some resort hopping and see all of the holiday trees in their decorated glory.  You will see some of that before Thanksgiving, but to really experience the full flavor of the holidays at Walt Disney World, I'd recommend the December dates.

I know the filming of the Christmas parade is a concern, and I won't tell you that there won't be crowds.  I have been to the parade taping, however, and I find that the crowds associated with the taping are usually gathered in one location inside the Magic Kingdom.  You can avoid the Magic Kingdom entirely on the days they are filming the parade, or you can go to the park but make your way around the crowd there for the parade taping.

You'll find rates and crowds similar at either time, but if free dining is offered, it may drive crowds up just a bit.

I hope this helps you make a decision.  Thank you so very much for your question!
