Hi and thanks for all your help! We are staying at Pop Century in May. Read that at Fort Wilderness there is a petting zoo/pony rides. Can we do that as well? Daughter is 4 and would love it. Is there a cost? How to get there? Worth it? Thanks!!

Hi T, This is a really fun experience for little ones, this was a must do for my daughter each time we visited when she was smaller. You can also go right across the path to the main barn and look at all of the huge horses they use at WDW and see Cinderella's ponies which also live here. There is no cost to see the horses in the barn and the pony rides used to cost $5.00 per ride (prices subject to change) and it really is a good value for your money as you will be the one leading her around the path of the whole petting zoo at your own pace and this takes about 10-15 minutes (I would think she would love this!). For transportation, you can take a bus from Downtown Disney or any of the Theme Parks (you will also need to take an internal bus at FW once you get there to get you down to the petting zoo area), but my choice would be to take a bus to Magic Kingdom and then take the boat to FW. The dock at FW is located right by Pioneer Hall which is just a few minute walk from the petting zoo. This way you will also get a really nice boat ride which is always one of our favorite things to do when we are there, it's quite a unique experience if you've never done this before! I hope you have a magical trip. Best wishes, Brigitta
