Thanks so much for your help, I am looking to find a resource for what is concidered a snack on the Deluxe Dining Plan at the parks, all i can find is generic desriptions.

    Hi Stephen,

You ask a great question.  You would think there would be a simple answer to it, but we found while we were on vacation last month that there were no concrete guidelines to determine what counts as a snack according to the Disney Dining Plan.  There are simply too many options to include for there to be any hard and fast rules.

Fortunately, Disney does give its guests plenty of help determining what you can purchase with a snack credit.  They use a very convenient and easily recognizable purple and white square snack symbol on most of their menus.  Anything marked with this symbol can be purchased using a snack credit.  The range of items is vast, everything from a single piece of whole fruit to a frozen lemonade to a Mickey ice cream bar.  During Epcot's Food & Wine Festival in the fall there are even more options.  Most items that qualify as a snack cost under $4, but we found a few exceptions.  We had a great time searching the parks for the most delicious item that could be purchased using a snack credit.  Now that's my kind of game!

I hope you enjoy using the Disney Dining Plan on your upcoming vacation.  If ever you are confused about what items you can purchase with a snack credit, don't hesitate to ask the nearest cast member.  I'm 100% certain they'll be happy to help you out.
