Thanks for the great help. Any suggestions on how to maximize the value of snack credits/choices on the dining plan? I don't want to waste them. We're four adults and a 3-1/2 year old visiting in Dec. Staying at AoA. Thanks again

    Hi, Kristin!

When my family is on the Disney Dining Plan, we like to make the most of our snack credits.  We will pay out of pocket when buying a "small" snack, like a piece of fruit that is under $1.50 per piece.  We like to save our credits for larger items.  For example, a bagel with cream cheese or a bowl of oatmeal is considered a snack item.  This, along with a coffee or hot chocolate in your refillable mug at your resort and you have breakfast!  We also like to get snacks we can share, such as a small bucket of popcorn.  When we get a quick service meal, we usually opt for the bottle of water that we can throw in our backpacks for the park and use our refillable mug for our drink.  That way we do not have to use another snack credit in the parks to buy a bottle of water.

You will find that when your little Mouseketeer gets a quick service meal, 2 sides are included, such as apple sauce, cookie, grapes, or french fries.  One side can be enjoyed at the meal, and the second side such as the apple sauce will keep well in your bag for a snack later in the day.

Here is one of the best lists I have seen that list all the snack credits available around property.  Cut and paste into your browser:  http://magicaldreamtours.com/index2/snack-credits-list/

I hope this helps and enjoy using your snack credits in Walt Disney World!
