Thanks for answering questions so quickly. We are in the process of deciding which resteraunts we want to dine at. When we are at Animal Kingdom, we are trying to decide between Rainforest Cafe and Tusker House. What kind of food is available at Tusker?

Tusker House and the Rainforest Cafe are very different restaurants. The first and foremost difference is that the Rainforest Cafe is a chain with locations all over the country. I was in England earlier this week and even happened upon one there. So, this is an experience that you would be able to have elsewhere if you wanted to.

The Rainforest Cafe does have some fun themeing. It feels like you're eating in a jungle, with lush foliage surrounding you. There are animals, both real and audioanimatronic, sharing the space with you. And like the jungle, the Rainforest Cafe is LOUD. There is thunder in the dining room; gorillas bang there chests; parrots squawk; elephants trumpet; lions roar. There may be times that you can't hear your tablemates. We took our girls here when my twins were four. My older daughter, who was seven at the time, loved the Cafe, but the noise so upset one of my daughters that my husband ended up having to take her back to the hotel for a sandwich in the room. You can learn more about the Rainforest Cafe by going to their website at rainforestcafe.com.

Tusker House is, by contrast, a relatively calm dining experience. There are Disney characters that roam around, visiting the guests, but there are no flashing lights, unexpected noises or other multisensory stimulation. The food is served buffet style. I had breakfast there about two months ago and really felt like there was something for everyone. The basics of an American breakfast were there: eggs, waffles, fruit, bacon, biscuits, pastries, etc. But there were also numerous international, particularly African, dishes to choose from as well. I loved sampling all sorts of unfamiliar tastes. It was nice to balance out comfort foods with things a bit more daring. If you go to the website allearsnet.com and search for the Tusker House menu, you'll find more information there.

Hope this helps you make your decision.
