Thanks for the advise Diane, we also have 3 kids ~10, 6, and 2. And are huge Disney fans, Disneyland is our second home. But this is our 1st WDW visit. Wondering if you have dinner suggestions for our WDW vacation? We will have the Dining plan.

    Amanda,

Hello again!  I'm glad my last answer was helpful, and I'm always happy to answer dining questions!  A Disney vacation wouldn't be complete without some great meals.

Character dining is always popular.  I actually prefer character breakfasts, but I do have some suggestions for fun character dinners:
    • Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. This reminds me a lot of Goofy's Kitchen in Disneyland.
    • Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom.  It features Winnie the Pooh and friends.  There is a great variety to choose from at the buffet.
    • Garden Grill at Epcot.  The food here is served family style, and some of it is even grown on property.  Farmer Mickey and his pals stop by your table as the restaurant rotates through different scenery in the Living with the Land attraction.
If you're looking to dine with princesses, I recommend Akershus in Epcot.  1900 Park Fare is also nice, but it features only Cinderella and characters from the movie.

Disney isn't just about character dining.  There are several other unique dining experiences that the family can enjoy:
    • Whispering Canyon Cafe - this is my oldest son's favorite restaurant - anywhere!
    • 'Ohana
    • 50's Prime Time Cafe
    • Biergarten in Epcot's Germany Pavilion
    • Teppan Edo in Epcot's Japan Pavilion - although my 3 year old isn't a fan of hibachi cooking - the flames scare her.
Now, if you're looking for some really amazing dining, Jiko and California Grill are my two favorites.  Both of those are signature restaurants and require 2 dining credits per person, but the food (especially at Jiko) is phenomenal!

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
