Thanks for the advice on the Polynesian. Kids 4 and 2 , Still nap. (1) Would you choose the Polynesian over Grand Floridian or Contemporary Resort still if money is not an issue? (2) What about doing one of the food plans? Necessary? Which one?

Hi Scott - my kids are the same age, and nap also.  Personally, yes, I would choose the Polynesian over both of those (even completely disregarding costs), and here's why.  With young children, I feel the theme and atmosphere of the Polynesian is more fun for young kids.  While the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian are fabulous hotels, I think the Grand Floridian is a bit too formal and the Contemporary decor isn't as kid-friendly (for my own children).  Of course, you know your kids best, so you may feel differently.

I would also recommend getting a meal plan, and would probably recommend the original dining plan, with one snack, one table service meal, and one counter service meal per day.  I think the meal plans can offer great value to families, and you wouldn't need to purchase one for your 2 year old.  If you plan on having two table service meals per day, then the deluxe plan would be better.  My family usually does 1 or 2 table services per day, and find it more reasonable to purchase the original dining plan and then pay out of pocket for the remaining table service meals.

    Have fun!
