Thank you so much! Do you actually know how much the coin machines cost?

Thanks for the follow-up question, Michael!

Of course, prices are always subject to change, but when I was at Walt Disney World Resort last month, the pressed pennies were 51 cents and the pressed quarters were $1.25. Both machines only take quarters as payment, so you’ll want to make sure you stock up on change before you leave home. Of course, you can always get change from purchasing your souvenirs and yummy treats, but I’ve always found it’s easier to start with some on-hand. In some locations around the Theme Parks and Resort hotels, you may be able to find machines that accept credit and debit cards, too, but the majority of machines you encounter will be coin-operated.

While many of the Coin Press Machines are electric, be on the lookout for ones you can crank by hand. My daughter loves trying these on her own (but sometimes Mom and Dad have to give her a little extra torque). She said she enjoys the process of “making” the pressed penny herself!

Make sure you check out some of the special 2019 designs during your visit, including pressed pennies of Spaceship Earth at Epcot’s Mouse Gear, the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom Park’s Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures in DinoLand U.S.A. and a special 2019 Mickey Mouse penny at Magic Kingdom Park’s Emporium. Designs and locations are always subject to change, but I know you’ll have no problem finding plenty of awesome designs.

    We’ll see you real soon!
