Hi moms! Thank you for this panel! I was wondering if you could suggest the best way to get from Wilderness Lodge to Boardwalk. I've heard it's nice to walk the Boardwalk in the evening and we'd like to check it out!

The Boardwalk is a lovely place to stroll in the evening. I love walking around the lake with an ice cream, browsing in the shops, and watching all the "street" performers. I hung out at the Boardwalk with two of my daughters for several hours this past summer. They LOVED the magician and are still talking about the piano on a bicycle.

Using Disney transportation, to get to the Boardwalk from the Wilderness Lodge, your best bet is to take the boat from the WL to the Magic Kingdom. From there you will transfer to a bus that will take you directly to the Boardwalk.

In my experience, I've been fine using Disney transportation with a transfer to get from resort to resort early in the evening. However, this somewhat time-consuming method of travel always seems less appealing at the very end of the day, when we're done touring and just want to go to bed. If you find this to be the case as well, you should know that there are taxis available at the Boardwalk (ask at the bell desk at the front of the hotel) that can take you back to the WL MUCH more quickly than Disney transportation. The cost should be in the neighborhood of $15 to $20. This could be worth it to you if you are particularly tired.
