Thank you all for helping me plan this wonderful vaca!! Everything is booked and reserved. Now I have 51 days to go. Any fun tips for counting down? Two boys ages 8 & 12. Cannot wait!!!

Hi Danelle!  That is great that you have everything booked for your trip!  I think that is part of the fun!
I have two boys as well.  They are 8 and 11.  We have done many different kinds of countdowns.  Usually, we start at a month away with a big poster for each of them (they both get to pick their own Disney character to put on theirs).  We print out numbers and rip them off as the day goes by.  When it gets down to 15, we start having a Disney movie countdown.  They bring me their favorite movies and I randomly select one to watch each night before bedtime.  Sometimes it takes us two nights to finish the longer ones.
My boys love to plan, so they also make out their own "itineraries" of what they want to do at each park.  They used to circle things on park maps we had collected from previous trips, but now they like to make them "fancy" on their computers and print them out.  I try to laminate them, and then they "check-off" things each night at the resort as their lists get completed.
We also have a "Hidden Mickey" app on my phone.  So, they enjoy reading the "hints" to get them ready to search for the Hidden Mickey's all throughout Disney World Resort.  My boys also pin-trade, so they take time getting the pins ready that they are wanting to trade, and also researching online what pins they may want to look for on the visit.
A new thing for your boys to do at the Magic Kingdom is called the "Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom".  It is an interactive card-game that I think ALL boys (and girls) will love!   My boys cannot wait to try it out!  It is a free adventure.  You can get your "training" and cards at the Firehouse as you walk in on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom.
I hope all this helps!  Have a great trip with your boys!
