Thank you Heather for your response! More specifically if the rest of our party has a fastpass for say space mountain does the parent waiting to switch have need a fast pass? Just trying to figure this all out before scheduling our fast passes. Thank you!

Hello again Lisa! I am so excited that you visited again with another question!

I am going to clarify a little bit. If the entire party wants to experience an attraction using the FastPass+ system and ride queue, then yes every single person will need to have a FastPass+ scheduled. If you want to use the Rider Switch service, then no one in the party will need a FastPass+. When you use the Rider Switch service, the party that experiences the attraction first is required to wait in the normal ride queue, not the FastPass queue.

Disney Mom Brenda has answered a similar question explaining that the Rider Switch program is independent of the FastPass+ program. Please be sure to check out her answer as I think it is a really great explanation on how the service works!

I hope that I have helped you to formulate a better plan! Please come back and ask me any other questions that you may have! I just love helping guests plan a magical vacation!
