Thank you for answering my previous question! How do I occupy myself for the 52 days counting up to do vacation? The planning is finished I just need a way to pass the time until we leave for Disney. Thanks!

Hi Mariyana, welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I completely understand the need to keep yourself busy so as not to keep looking at the calendar. The excitement of an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is so distracting when you are trying to actually get some work done. Here are a couple of ideas to help you pass the time until your trip:

*I always try stay in a Disney-state-of-mind by planning movie nights once a week up until the trip. We will pick a Disney movie and have a themed snack and art craft. For example, one time we watched one of our favorite classics, Peter Pan, and we made Peter Pan hats with red feathers. Then we made homemade personal pizzas shaped as Mickey Mouse. We also had store-bought Disney themed cupcakes for dessert.

*We go to a lot of traveling Disney shows as well like Disney On Ice, and Disney Live. If you look around you might also find that one of your local theaters is putting on a Disney production. Right now we have a local civic theater running Peter Pan. You can also travel to see a Disney On Broadway show. Right now, Aladdin and The Lion King are running shows.

*My son and I are soundtrack freaks, so we will spend weeks listening to our favorites. Tarzan, Pocahontas, Beauty and The Beast, The Little Mermaid, and A Goofy Movie are always on our rotation. Pick up a couple of soundtracks and play them on your daily commute.

*Before every trip we always decorate a small binder to put all of our Disney papers, flight information, and confirmation numbers in. I like to be as organized as possible, and the binders always add a little flair. They are also great for storing vacation memories too. We put our photos in the binder, so along with our itinerary, it makes for a cool little memory book.

I hope some of these ideas can help add a little Disney magic to your everyday and help pass the time. If you have any more questions, please feel free to stop by!
