Thank you Amber V for your suggestion regarding using my gift cards to pay off charges to my room key. We are going to stay off property with family for this trip so that will not be an option. Any other ideas to combine multiple gift cards into one?

    Hi again John!

I did some investigating for you and unfortunately I was unable to find a way for you to combine your gift cards. In speaking with cast members at Disney merchandising, I learned that your Disney rewards card and current gift cards can not be used toward the purchase of a new gift card, which would effectively combine all the balances. I was also told that it is not possible for your gift card balances to be transferred and consolidated onto one card. I'm not really sure why this is, but it appears that Disney has certain restrictions and guidelines when it comes to gift cards.

It looks like you will have to use each gift card separately throughout the course of your trip. I like to wear a lanyard around my neck that has a plastic pouch just big enough for my room key and PhotoPass card. You can find ones in which the pouch has a zipper so that your cards can't fall out. This may be an option for you to keep your gift cards in one, safe place on your person so that you have easy access to them when needed. You can also ask the cast members to write down the remaining balance on your card when you make a purchase to make it easier to keep track of how much is left on each card.

You could also work out your budget and bring only one or two cards with you to the parks each day, and leave the others behind. If this option would work for you, it would give you less cards to keep track of each day, and could help keep you on your budget. I know when I visit Disney, it is very easy to pull out my credit card and make purchases without thinking about it!

Hopefully, some of these ideas will work for you! I am sorry that I wasn't able to be more of a help with your situation. I hope that you have an enjoyable vacation, and have fun spending your gift cards!
