I was telling my dad about the Disney Cruise Vacation I'm planing, and he asks me how would I get to the ship and back. I'm flying to Florida for the cruise, and I don't think I'll be adding WDW to this trip. Is there a Magical Express for the Cruise Line?

    Welcome aboard, Joanna!

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and sending in a question. How exciting that you've got a magical voyage planned already. It is such a wonderful way to vacation -- you really do enjoy Disney, a different way!

Disney Cruise Line Ground Transfers from the MCO airport to Port Canaveral and vice versa is available for purchase. I think it's the best way to get you and your family members transported pre and post cruise. The cost is $35 per person each way or $70 per person round trip. If you arrive at the MCO airport on the morning of embarkation day, then you simply go to the Magical Express Welcome Center on Side B Level 1. The cast members there will direct you to the next motor coach leaving for the port. Your ground transfer will include baggage handling... so you won't even need to worry about your check-in luggage. As long as you attach the special DCL tags, it will be delivered straight to your stateroom onboard that same afternoon.

On the way home, once you exit Port Canaveral and go through US Customs, you'll head to the left exit where you can board the next motor coach leaving for the MCO airport. The drive each way is about an hour depending on traffic. You'll want to allow extra time on your way home, since there is usually a long line at the security gate at the airport.

I hope this helps in your planning, Joanna. Please do let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Happy planning,
    ~ Dolly
