    Alison Asked

My teen daughters and I are visiting WDW for the first time next month. We are excited to have a breakfast reservation at 'Ohana's at 10:30. Will we have time to spend an hour in the Magic Kingdom (opens 9am) beforehand or is this too ambitious?

    Hi Alison!

I'm so excited for your first visit to Walt Disney World. It's a whole new world and one that you are going to want to visit again and again. I just know it. So much fun!

Since you are traveling with teenagers (no strollers, etc., to deal with), I think visiting the Magic Kingdom for an hour before a 10:30 AM reservation at 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is not only possible, but is a fantastic idea! Simply jump on the Monorail for a short ride from the Magic Kingdom to 'Ohana (with just a couple of stops in between.) If I were you, I would leave right at 10:00 AM to allow for crowds or lines to get on the Monorail. One more bit of advice...try to book a FastPass+ or two ahead of time for that hour you are at Magic Kingdom. Doing that will help you make the very most of your time there.

Thanks for stopping by. Please come back if we can help with any other questions or planning tips. Have a magical vacation and a wonderful day!
